About Me
Kaite Olund, MSE, NCC, LPC
As a counselor, I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels welcoming and nonjudgmental. Whoever you are, however you look, whatever you are going through: you are welcome here, fully as you are.
I believe in the power of authenticity. To me, being authentic means showing up as 100% yourself, leaving behind the masks that we may wear to impress others or to protect ourselves. Being authentic requires bravery and vulnerability; it can be downright terrifying at times. However, authenticity also allows your unique light to shine. In my own personal experiences, embracing and honoring my true inner self has been my most important (and at times uncomfortable) gift. I bring this authenticity into my work; I lovingly call it “punk rock counseling.”
Because everyone is on their own unique journey, I draw from different therapeutic styles and techniques to best match your needs and concerns. I enjoy being creative in session, incorporating storytelling, art, music, and yoga (if you’re feeling it). Within this space, we are collaborating as a team; I don’t believe in lecturing or telling you what you “should” be doing. You are the expert on your own life, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you make your own path through the world.
Outside of the counseling space, I enjoy attending concerts, being in nature, cross stitching, reading comic books, adding to my tattoo collection, doing yoga, watching anime, and petting every animal I can find. I’m drawn to the bold, the vulnerable, and the unapologetically authentic in all aspects of my life.
